The Dr. Perricone diet is a combination of some food items as well as beverages that would help to keep age-related conditions at bay. These also combat mental and physical degenerative conditions. Dr. Perricone recommends three things in the diet. These include protein, carbohydrates and unsaturated fats. It is imperative that these feature in the everyday diet.

The Dr. Perricone diet advises the people to consume adequate quantities of salmon, sardines, herring, halibut, seeds, olive oil and nuts. These contain a lot of fats which are very good for the body. The food items are naturally anti inflammatory and are helpful in keeping the levels of blood sugar and insulin normal.
Besides the food items, the Dr. Perricone Diet advises that it is good to take in at least 8 glasses of spring water everyday. The diet also says that green tea which is high on anti-oxidants is good for the body. The prescribed food plan guarantees great results in three days. The diet promises to help in giving a well toned and firm look to the body. The foods that are consumed would help to keep the skin supple, radiant and healthy.
